sounds more like a personal issue than a review of the pub.. TheGP - 3 Aug 2011 13:00
GP no need to be personal we all have a view. The management have let their loyal clients down by expecting them to tolerate poorly washed glasses, pipes cleaned once a month if you are lucky. The reason his punters are in every pub but his is not a co-incidence. His oldest customer in his 90s drinking there since his teens had to leave and find another pub. pubspy69 - 28 Jul 2011 00:35
pubspy69 you are an idiot the only truth in your rant is about george falling out with some of the locals - a fair point, but the rest of it is just fiction the pint of Guinness in here is far far better than elsewhere in Sunbury - where on earth do you think it is better? it's a proper pub - who gives a shit about the toilets - you shit in them. if you want a fancy dan superficial rubbish pub serving crap drink then go to the Magpie or especially the Phoenix - leave the White Horse to people who actually like proper pubs TheGP - 27 Jul 2011 21:20
This place has gone to the dogs. The place is falling down and has pigeons nesting above the windows making a mess of the people passing by as well as the walls etc. The staff are not interested, the beer is rank and sold in dirty glasses which renders it flat within seconds. The toilets are beyond filthy and normally flood when more than 10 people are drinking there. The owner George has fallen out with all his customers, the pubs golf society still exists but drinks in the Flowerpot. Not a place for a man with a weak stomach. Its a shame as it has the potential to be the best but blinkered management too stupid to admit they are wrong has it ruined. The Guinness is now the worst pint in Sunbury and no doubt further a field. AVOID Hoe the council allow it to remain open is a mystery. pubspy69 - 27 Jul 2011 14:15
A fine pub, it stands out amongst the others in Sunbury for it's sheer old fashioned ness. Not to everyones tastes I understand. Old men, proper drinkers, Irish and sports fans welcome. Braying Henrys and wine drinkers not.. TheGP - 22 Oct 2009 10:30
