Hard to say anything good or bad about this place - it just is what it is. Recently decorated - new carpets, curtains, tables & chairs - but somehow looks the same as when Jimmy & Mary-Jo were here (15+ years ago) - even the same punters sitting in the same places! I'd definitely describe it as a blokes' pub, but I know plenty of women who love it - mainly for the characters who frequent it. MarkWJ - 29 Mar 2008 22:21
For the sake of clarity Canadason (who was visiting from Canada!) was referring to the Grey Horse, not the White Horse - although there is nothing wrong with the White Horse zappa - 20 Apr 2007 07:22
The Perfect Pub experience. Cheers to Niall, the family, and all the lads, (even you Tony). What can I say about the Grey Horse, great beer and great company, isn't that what it's all about?? Quaint and quiet (at times!!) but the perfect place to kick back and meet the locals. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and can't wait to go back. Take care of the place and I hope to see ya soon!! canadason - 17 Apr 2007 19:25
Different horses for different courses. This isn't a young and lively venue, but it is what it is. Niall is a legend, he'll do anything for a half of cider! The place is nice inside, with a pool table, and a popular place to watch great sports games. There is nothing wrong with The White Horse, it's a great pub to have a quiet drink. Keep up the good work. Jen_and_Darren - 16 Dec 2006 13:27
An acquired taste as some of the reviews state you probably either love or hate this pub - It's allright though. anonymous - 14 Dec 2006 14:13
