Lovely pub and restaurant inside, very clean and modern looking.
The food however wasnt so good. We both had fresh tagatelli with goats cheese and roasted vegetables.
The vegetables and pasta needed salt, a lot of salt. The pasta was quite thick like noodles.
Very disappointed because the dish was well presented and looked tasty.
I complained to the waitress afterwards and she told the chef who just shrugged.
Plus to finish the meal the bar drinks were calculated wrong, so check your bill.
Wont be going back.

Food was good, lacked something in the atmosphere. Shame about the service

Myself and 3 friends enjoyed a fantastic evening in Ashby's A La Carte menu. The food was superb, by far the best around. The staff were all pleasant and very professional. I would reccommend the Hercules to anyone.

We enjoyed a tremendous night here - fantastic meal of locally produced food, followed by entertainment in the bar with a proper community feel. This is really an oasis worth as visit - keep up the good work!!!

and thanks

How good it is to see the new Management (April 2005) bringing the place to life - great food from a top chef, served with a warm welcome, and fabulous live music in the bar - brings a real 'community feel' to an evening meal and entertainment

Thanks to Luke, and his staff
