great pub, with low ceiling and wooden beams and various areas to choose to sit in. service is great, and the unexpected garden area is great in the summer. usually our last stop on crawl in old amersham, but thats due to geography (being at the far end of the road) as opposed to quailty. much like amersham in general, it can be heaving or litterally empty.

Good mid-priced food at lunchtime (not in the evening, though). A good choice of real ales - last time I was here it was London Pride, Doombar and Landlord. Altogether much better than the score here might suggest.

The best Sunday Roast in Amersham by far. A bigger choice of Ales would have been nice, but it is compensated by two excellent ciders. Well worth a trip out of London. I'll be back!

A better pub than the King's Head down the road. The pub looked very welcoming with plenty of hanging baskets on the exterior. Bombardier and London Pride were the two real ales on offer. Addlestones cider was also served.

The Eagle has just been refurbished (April 2009) and we hope that you will visit us and judge for yourselves regarding our efforts. We have a new chef (Andy) who serves traditional pub food and an excellent Sunday Roast with home-made puddings.

Our staff are welcoming and friendly and along with a pretty rear garden we hope we have all the right ingredients to make your visit an enjoyable one. We are having a music/barbeque evening on the 30th May 2009 - do come and see for yourselves.

Looking forward to your comments. Rod Walker (Licencee)
