Top pub in the city. The selection of beer was and is first class, not only local ales such as Castle Rock but also from further afield i.e Mauldons Micawbers Mild. The food is also excellent and they serve a multitude of specials during the course of the day.
The staff all had a ready smile and happy to chat about local issues etc.
This is what every town pub should be like. 10 out of 10 guys. Keep up the fantastic work.

The Castle Rock Sherwood Oak was excellent. There was a good selection of foreign beers to complement the six real ales. If I could have found somewhere to sit, I might have tried the food, which looked good.

Small, one roomed Tynemill Pub. Good food, and excellent ales. Comfortable atmosphere where you can sit and read a newspaper or dine with friends. Appeals to all kinds of people. One of Nottingham's better Tynemill pubs.

A true gem for real ale drinkers in the heart of the Lace Market
