I like this pub and always get in here when in the town. This time the Castle Rock Red Riding Hood did not live up to it's reputation. My mates beer was fine, can't remember what it was. Will try again on my next visit to town.

Great little pub, with a good selection of pubby food on offer to go with your very well looked after pint. The guy working behind the bar - who I've seen working up at the Lincolnshire Poacher - is very good at his job. Great customer service.

Visited to see the mighty U’s perform better than last year and only lose 3-1 to County! Good ale, had the Jarrow something or other and the Isis which was 5% but didn’t taste like it, also had the venison and black pudding pie, chips and veg which was very tasty and pretty good value for £9.45. Serving staff were very efficient and friendly. This is a very good one room pub, pleasant atmosphere and interesting interior. 8/10
