A very good local pub, with a very good range of real ales, wines and bottled beers and cider, The pub has a very good atmosphere with real fires in the winter which makes it a really cozy place to eat from there extensive pub food menu, and a good outside patio area fro eating in the summer, highly recomened, good attentive staff could not fault it milkymda - 6 Aug 2009 19:42
Started to visit this pub again recently & found to be back to it's "glory" days. 7 well kept ales from all over the place. Only a small amount of half pint glasses in stock - not catering for tickers as yet! Pleasant outdoor drinking area.Small (ish) cosy rooms within the pub. Decent pub for pre football drinks. Food looks good value - though not tried. bloomfieldjpm - 11 Jul 2009 05:29
Great pub, in here with Saints before the game at the weekend. 8 real ales: Bass, Bombardier, Thwaites Original, Cairngorm Trade Winds, Copper Dragon Scotts 1816, Daleside Old Legover, St Austell Tinners and Shepherd Neame Canterbury Jack. 2 main rooms off a bar area, decent cheap pub grub and a friendly welcome. Excellent. GuideDogSaint - 23 Mar 2009 23:24
Great - an ancient inn with individual rooms complete with bells to push for service. But the bells don't work any more. The bar is in the main room only. Plenty of atmosphere and character. Relaxed and friendly. Guest beers served in good condition. It has a reputation as the most interesting pub in Blackpool, and is a required stop if in the area. SilkTork - 28 Apr 2006 17:40
Not one of the best, THE BEST real ale pub in Blackpool Town. The only competition is the Shovels, (equally good), which is a few miles to the South on the way to St. Annes. Leeroy2004 - 9 Mar 2006 00:32
