user reviews of the Crown Inn, Wrinehill

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Despite being well located and looking like a decent boozer, it is in fact pretty disappointing.

The food is just heated up in a tiny kitchen out back, and there is little or no cooking going on here. Indeed, the menu is standard tired old fare, with little inspiration to be found at all.

The locals, on each occasion we've been, just prop up the bar relentlessly and show no inclination to move from "their spots" when you're trying to get served.

Some of the prices for mixers seem to be made up on the spot and the manager is a bit of a moody git as well.

Try the other pub just further down the road, its much better.

Lovely country pub serving excellent beer and food. Friendly staff but the manager seemed a bit of a nob. Quite old fashioned even to the point of last orders at 10.30pm on Sunday night.

very friendly, good choice of quality ales, very tasty food, clean pub, good location, decent customers and very reasonably priced.
That makes this pub the best all round, hard to achieve this winning combination. You need to change NOTHING in here, it is spot on!
Well worth seeking out, 5 - 10 mins from Junction 15 or 16 on the M6. Just type in CW3 9BT into your satnav.

I am referring to lunchtime, I would like to visit evening.

Former coaching in on the London- Chester road. It has one U shaped, carpeted lounge, but no bar as such. Not my cup of tea really, but the food looked good, the staff were very friendly and the cask ale of good quality, if uninspired in that it consisted only of the larger regionals such as Banks's, Marston's and Adnams.
