Has a selection of 3 cask ales with prices clearly displayed. Beer good and excellent prices for meals, staff work hard but always have time to be friendly and chat.

Good place to escape the storms (July in England) - decent Theakstons in a traditional seaside pub.

Theakstons Mild and Bitter available in good condition. Another guest ale is normally available but not on my visit. Food looked good value.

Good little pub, centrally located however you wouldn't think it. Good value food & well kept ale. Really small pool table though!!

On a side road between Lord Street & The Promenade there is a large beer garden at the front which I imagine would be an excellent sun trap. Once inside there is plenty of space & seating options. The walls are an old fashioned green & cream & the overall feel of the place is traditional & a little musty. Although I'm sure the locals would disagree, to me, it needs freshening up a bit. Beer choice was Black Cat Mild, Spitfire & Thwaites Bitter.
