Nice food, service & atmosphere. A real shame that this is yet another pub masquerading as a free house but clearly it's not. No local ales on the bar. A rather bland selection from thier tied list.

Hillside has always been hit n miss with both food n service. It's either brilliant or appaling... No happy medium. For pub food, the prices are fairly high, but portions are a bit stingy...beer battered mushrooms... 4... With small pot of garlic mayo, bulked out with lettuce... And at just under a fiver per portion is NOT good value...! They do do some good meal deals, which helps!

All in all it's reasonable... But like SO many pubs in this part of Crawley they can't handle busy times!

This is definitely more restaurant than pub. I have eaten here several times becuase it is reasonable food at a reasonable price, but I live nearby and I wouldnt travel far for it. It is part of a chain, I've seen the same menu elsewhere, and a lot of the food comes from the microwave. I've also had issues with some of the cutlery being none to clean, but having said that the food is ok, the beer is ok, the staff are friendly, and its got a nice cosy interior.

Certainly a food orientated pub with a 'chain' feel to it. That said, we stood at the bar for a few pints and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The Harveys good without being great but all I all it was pretty reasonable
