| Rebellion IPA & London Pride on the pumps. IPA was very drinkable. Friendly staff and great 80s rock tunes in the public bar on my visit. That was enough to make me stay all night but needs must. Nice little garden at the rear and cosy snug bar on the side for that quiet pint away from Dire Straits on the duke box. Beer_Spotter - 22 Sep 2011 23:21 |
| The best 'pub' in Wargrave, the Rebellion is usually a pretty good bet. I think the owners could do lot more to entice people in here though, it seems under-utilised. I heard that they didn't want to be on the local CAMRA Ale Trail - given the whole shebang is free and gets a pretty huge response rate (2000 leaflets and a 40% return rate apparently - how many pints must that equate to?) I find that decision rather hard to fathom. Perhaps they like the easy life? Quinno - 14 Jul 2009 19:59 |
| Nicer clientele it seemed than the george & dragon, and more of a "proper pub" feeling, rebellion was great tasting too, 7/10 fat_beer_badger - 17 Nov 2008 17:11 |
| Enjoyable two-roomed locals pub, with three ales (including Rebellion IPA) in the mix; the IPA was in decent form. Crowd are a bit younger and livelier than the other outlets in Wargrave on the two-time showings when I've been in. Sporting events shown in the big public bar. Bonus points for the mounted stamps in the lounge bar. Decent outside garden. No world-beater but a solid local, worth combining with the White Hart for a couple of pints on a visit. | Wargrave's 'basic boozer' and whilst it lacks the budget of the bigger pub enterprises in the town I would support this pub. This is the type of pub where it's not exactly clear who's serving! Worth a couple of pints of my time. Booze_Allen - 1 Jun 2008 20:09 |
