Know slightly more imaginatively known as The Manchester & County. doncaosdelanada - 30 Jul 2009 11:49
There are several Wetherspoons in Manchester and this is the worst, although the Lloyds No 1 at the Printworks is trying hard for the title. As it's on Piccadilly it attracts all the deadlegs from the surrounding area, 2 railway stations, 2 bus stations all supply their fair share of the clientele. The 99p pints of GK IPA even attracts the pondlife that couldn't afford Wetherspoon prices previously. Don't go. ROBCamra - 27 Jan 2009 14:16
Perhaps the dullest pub name in Manchester, but not too bad for a city-centre 'spoons. Very nice pint of Black Bear (a strong, dark ruby, mild) from Congleton's Bearside Brewery. rpadam - 6 Oct 2007 00:14
Obviously a very slow day when this place was opened as it seems nobody could be arsed to come up with a name for it! Doesn't detract from the fact, however, it's a decent place for a pint, and a good meeting place in central Manchester. I laugh when people moan about going into a Spoons expecting an above-average drinking experience and atmosphere, there are plenty of other places you can do that! This to me is typical of most Spoons outlets, and I've certainly been in worse! That said, it wouldn't probably be my first choice for a pint in Manchester city centre. man_of_kent - 22 May 2007 15:35
Nothing amazing 4 a spoons in the centre of Manchester but the cheap good quality ale still gets it a 7/10 in my books. fat_beer_badger - 20 Apr 2007 12:22
