| ive been running this pub for a year and a half now, and i love it! | Called in while staying at nearby hotel: found it clean, with friendly staff but no real beer [real cider though, as befits its role as a student pub]. Got REALLY busy when the football was on, but at the final whistle it was is if they were all being sucked out through the doors. Food excellent and good value, and despite the huge numbers of students they were mostly polite and well mannered and didn't make our group of four fogeys [we must have increased the average age by ten years] feel out of place. | Outside of the main city centre this is definitely a student focussed pub. Despite that, It serves great food dduring the day, and there are older clientelle who visit as well (if its not a student only night - not advertised if this ever happens - so don't set off on a large trek...).
