This pub has shut down now (about time too). I used to work here and have to say it was a lovely building and had the potential to be great, we had such great plans. Unfortunately there were a few really nasty customers who have ruined it for the rest of the town. This was the last pub in the town itself and now the idiots will have to drink on a park bench. Hope they feel silly now. these are the type of people who rob the place (armed) and think its only worth a weeks barring. Nice! anonymous - 6 Aug 2007 19:40
think the pub is complete horrible place.i wouldnt take my daughter in there for family drink and bite to eat. The place has bad vibes and far too much trouble in there! should of been shut down ages ago!! sazzyl - 20 Oct 2006 15:44
been there twice. will never ever go again. an awful awful pub from the stories ive been told and should be shut down. not a safe place for respectable drinkers or staff members. nothing against the staff, just the people that drink in there. only for people that are made of tougher stuff! spacemonkey - 19 Oct 2006 21:43
Staff and pub quality is fine, same as any other Wetherspoons. It's my geographical local. If you go on a friday/saturday night, then don't expect a nice evening. SherberT - 10 Sep 2006 00:13
Judging by that posting, sounds like it's taken over the title "Roughest Pub in Britain" from the erstwhile Ship opposite the station (now the Post Office). E17Bee - 28 Feb 2006 17:35
