The Barton Arms in Worsley is not a Gastro pub dining experience as Ember Inns now markets it as. This is nothing more than a badly run, Licensed Fried Food Outlet!

If you like processed Fish & Chips with a slice of lemon and you wish to be subjected to extreme rudeness, straight out of the Basil Fawlty school of hospitality by Mimi the manageress, then I would highly recommend you pop down to Worsley in Salford and visit the Barton Arms.

Went there a couple of weeks ago and was disappointed since my last visit. Whilst the staff were friendly enough the pub was extremely noisy and we noticed that "strangers" got scowled at. The food was average, but edible and not expensive.
I would agree with drphibes last comment about the Barton losing its way. It has been better in the past and could be a lot better in the future.

The previous comment by supporter is more than inaccurate. Ths pub has lost a lot of trade, especially local, since the new landlord came, the pub seems to have lost direction completely. Rumoured the landlord will not be there too much longer.

wow me and my wife are new to the area and have naturally checked out the local pubs. Beyond any doubt the Barton Arms is clearly the best! exceptionally friendly young couple run it. great team of employees and consistently great food, drink and atmosphere. First class standards and service. Extremely busy pub (no suprise) and a all round great place 2 be. I believe the landlord and landlady have only been there for around six months and locals speak very highly of them. Do yourself a favour and visit this fantastic place and I am sure you will agree with me.

Sadly visited this pub? on the 31/07/09, with my family 56, 38, 34, 32 & 2 months old - yes they don't do under 14's, but can a 2 month old sleeping baby really cause trouble? Yes, according to the lady/girl/child who must have been close to breaking the pubs own rules! when she snarled you can't bring that in here!

I hope the company and its tenants are happy with this scenario. My family and I will never again attempt to walk into such premises and will continue to enjoy those public house's that care and value it's customers.

Please take a moment to consider your customers and to teach your staff that we are all human beings and that talking to those in such a manner often offends.
