user reviews of Boom, Newcastle

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

One of the worst pubs in the whole world. Full of human garbage, and that's being polite, with beer you'd not give to a thirsty dog. A pre-match pint of stella in here confirmed my suspicions that not only were the posters, the staff, and the music all around in the 90's, but so was the ale. And just how tedious is a 90's theme anyway?

My favourite Boom moment? On the neverending pub crawl that is my life, being refused entry into the equally depressing Popworld on the Bigg Market on account that my mate was wearing trainers, and at the moment of refusal the sight of a bang-to-rights charver (buzz cut, waxed down fringe, ben sherman, comedy bling) sticking his head round the door and saying to the bouncer: 'how man, where's Boom?' And with that, I smiled, shook me head, and fucked off.

For a banging night out go to Boom, the prices are well cheap during the week and cheaper than others at weekends. Bit tatty but a right laugh

If you were a child or fan of the 90's then this bar is for you. Prices are a bit expensive but not too bad and also has agreat atmosphere. Easy to get too, not far from the Bigg Market.
