| Sometimes had a good choice of ales although most of the lowlife who frequent this place would be happy with any old rubbish you serve them. Get rammed at weekend like all the other chain mega pubs nearby. We knick name it The Last Chance Salon has you only go there when all the other good pubs have closed and you cant be bothered to go to the nightclub or snooker hall. | Beer was great, the real ale was fresh and clear and slipped down a treat, the food was even better, well cooked and tasted great. The downside, pub was full of the assorted characters, some very pleasent, the others not so. Did not like the rude comment someone shouted at my wife, why does this pub attract, Loonies, Conspiracy theorists, and creatures from the land of egocentricity, come on guys a pub is meant to be fun, you do not have to take as a mission in life. One more thing the staff were bloody good as well, more friendly than the customers. postal2dude1974 - 12 Mar 2011 23:20 |
| was a rite s***hole wen we used to go in here a few yrs ago, full of wierdos. food was ok...WHEN we finally got it, 1 1/4 hour wait for breakfst (lunch by the time we got it!!) hopsgreennyellow - 17 Nov 2010 12:54 |
| A nicely presented Wetherspoon's, but suffered from two of their recurring problems when I visited - slow service by a barman who seemed pretty clueless and an impressive looking array of pump clips that weren't actually backed up by their beers being available! Having said that, when I did manage to find one that was on - Milestone Lion's Pride - it was in excellent condition. ace1973 - 2 Oct 2010 09:22 |
| Not a bad Wetherspoons, especially of one goes in there whilst shopping or immediately after work. The beers are of a high standard with Wentworth always well-represented. Very typical Wetherspoons layout, but with the toilets quite a trek upstairs from beyond the far end of the bar, and with the staircase/landing seeming to provide a lot of extra drinking space Arctium_lappa - 7 Feb 2010 21:39 |
