| Completely agree with last review (17th Apr 09). My local too but only due to it's proximity - I prefer the County on Gosforth High Street. Food is the typical re-heated/microwaved stuff you get in these two-for-one pubs. Staff are fast and friendly, and the pints are quite good, even the Guinness is of a reasonable quality. Certainly lacks atmosphere, and the live band who were playing the last time I was there seemed completely out of place and drove patrons to the other side of the pub.
