| I stayed in warwick with some friends for a week in St. Michaels road. I frequently visited this pub with my friends and my boyfriend because it was only up the road to near where I was staying. We walked in through to a tiny area where on the right there stood a pool table gathered around by teenage thugs who [and this is the best bit] hooted as we walked through the door. We kind of ignored these even though the barman was paying more attention of watching their game rather than serving us. I finally got my diet coke that was clearly at the end of its tap as it just tasted like soda water. We felt really intimadated because the locals wouldn't move from the bar so we could collect our drinks, and they would just stare at us. We got a packet of crisps to share and it was out of date..[we checked because it tasted like lard]. We were delighted to see the pub had a new smoking area outside, but really annoyed to see that by the front of the pub at the door, a chav :) was smoking at the door, a bit pointless but the local school doesn't seem the brightest place to be. He was breathing right down our necks so we moved. But we were really ashamed to see the way they ignored the elderly customers that obviously lived at the elderly help bungalows right next to the pub. No one would let them near the bar to get their drinks, and they were ignored when trying to get inside the door. Overall this pub was disgusting, tiny and had ignoring and even illegal teenagers working behind the bar. I would rate this 1/10.. Vintus - 18 Mar 2008 21:05 |
