| I agree. This place is now disgusting. The pool room (read: shack) at the back is literally rotting, with mould and fungus are running up the damp walls. It should be condemned by health inspectors. topdog_andy - 4 Jan 2008 11:15 |
| 2 years ago when I moved into the area it was a half decent pub. Not the best but tolerable. Since then, I don't think any part of it has seen a hoover or a duster. The word 'filthy' comes to mind. I'd want rabies and tetanus jabs before setting foot in there again. Zaphod - 8 Nov 2007 10:24 |
| Aside from The Swan in Lee this has to be the worst pub in South East London. Not sure if there were more cracks on the barmaids face or on the ceiling. The pool area is stained yellow by smoke and the wallpaper is being held on by spit. The complimentary bar snacks of mini cheddars and raw onion went down like cheap whore. The pub quiz was a scam and not surprisingly one of the regulars won! Often frequented by football shirt wearing yobs, even saw one brave fool with an Argetina kit on! | This pub is pretty bad on one side and ok-ish on the other. On one side you definitely do have “plastic gangsters” but on the other side it seems ok. The men’s toilets are pretty dirty on both sides and my girlfriend said the same about the ladies too. But I had no trouble getting a drink and none of the local gangsters gave me any trouble, in fact after the initial intimidation of the place I quite enjoyed myself there. joebeer - 18 Sep 2006 13:55 |
| Plainly one of the worst boozers in the locality, full of plastic gangsters, who think (and will no doubt tell you that they are "faces". Quite possibly but only ugly faces!) To be fair, when i was last in here, it did offer a late drink - so credit where credit is due. It was also mainly empty, so draw you own conclusions there.
