user reviews of Eden Arms, Edenthorpe

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The Eden Arms is a modern purpose-built pub and is part of the Ember Inns chain. It is next to a Tesco supermarket and a housing estate. There is plenty of space inside. But it also has a patio at the front, that was popular on our sunny Sunday afternoon visit. The ale selection was Brakspear Bitter, Black Sheep Ember Pale Ale, Abbeydale Moonshine, St Austell Cornish Best & Harviestoun Summer Legend. If you've been to one of these pubs before, you'll know exactly what you're getting.

Very civilised and pleasant, and Ember Inns are doing a fine job on the real ale front. Just a bit boring to go to so many around the country that look exactly the same !

This pub is brilliant with excellent food and patient, friendly staff. Drinks were fairly priced and they three staff working last Sunday when a group of about 30 of us turned up wanting feeding managed to deal with us competently and fully professionally. If you're in the area and looking for somewhere to have a quiet drink (no TVs visible when we were there and there was an FA cup semi on at the time) or a decent meal then you won't be disapointed if you choose The Eden Arms.
