| I presume this pub, as it was once a Moons, was named with some connection to the 'Moon Under Water', George Orwell's mythical ideal pub, as Orwell, aka Eric Blair once lived in Hayes. However it is more like the desperate boozer Winston Smith stumbles into in '1984'. For the last week several ales have been 'coming soon' but they have not come. Why is it called the 'Famous' George Orwell? So people can call it an inn and therefor the 'Innfamous George Orwell'? anonymous - 30 Sep 2006 15:49 |
| SHITE! Even worse than when it was a Moons anonymous - 16 Sep 2006 16:08 |
