Having visited the Flying Horse a few years ago, I was not impressed as the smell was off putting.
Having revisited several times recently, what a pleasant surprise.
A good clean pub. Friendly staff... even Stevie B.....!
A nice selection of beers largers and spirits.
Loads of entertainment to suit all types, from Quiz nights to Live bands.
The Sunday Lunch's I am told are great..... so Mick says...and he likes food!
The new carvery has arrived so look forward to sampling the Sunday Lunch myself.
Well done to Paula and Steve, good luck for the future.... how nice are you....lol

Could not agree more with prevous comments. Was getting better until change in management. Desperatly needs new owners dodgy lancashire landlady who never seems to do any work and when she does she serves the wrong drink. We refer to the class of the some of the other customers as trouble makers. As we call them pond life in fact we dont even call it the Flying Horse anymore simply just the Pond.
I would only recommend it for pond watching and good Stella.

I find since the new people took over the flying horse in oct 2005, it has really gone down hill. It takes a long time for the barmaids to acknowledge you are there.plus it is only used now by what i class as trouble makers.
