Have recently returned to this pub after not going in for a couple of years. The experience has changed considerably since the last visits. First off - the beer is now drinkable and actually enjoyable. Of course, Sharps Doom Bar has made it onto the menu. The stuffs everywhere. However, Timoty Taylor is also there and a local brewery gets a look in on the third tap. All good on the times I've tried them.
As for the pub itself - changed hands a couple of times I think. There has been a revamp of the clientele also, moving many on I believe.
The big attraction for us - it is dog friendly. Keep them on a lead and take them in, under your control. A big difference to most other pubs here.
Sky TV offers the option to watch the big games of interest too. Will be returning soon!

Improving. This is just about my nearest pub. I've been in twice in the past six months and both times the beer has been excellent. I had the Twickenham Naked Ladies and the Gale Seafarers last night. Both very well kept, served in clean glasses. As we had the dog with us, had to sit outside in the garden. Nice touch - one of the staff offered and brought a bowl of water for him. Will certainly return and hope for a similar positive experience. It was not busy but the more positive reviews they get, the better.

Where do I start ? Well it's run by a couple of weirdos who spend there time playing with each other out the back rather than serving they are very aggressive arrogant people who has no I dear about customer service ! I made a comment about how discussing the toilets are and how dirty my glass was and he decided to grab my glass and smash it agains the wall and say if you don't like it then F off! Well that's polite I said and I was told I'm barred avoid like the plague you will have a better experience drinking your own piss on a park bench ! Thanks for the horrific level of customer service you have provided making me realise a park bench and a bottle of vodka would be a much better time ! Good luck using the toilets and drinking from there dirty glasses with out being sick and what ever u do don't complain about anything cause the lovely land lords will not listen

voiceofknaphill, You say you haven't been in for years yet posted a comment on 2nd Oct last year - Recounting old memories were you?

Everybody is happy if you don't come back and If you're so concerned about it being a drug den perhaps you should share that with the Police, they don't seem to have the same viewpoint! I personally think the new managers seem to be doing pretty well.
