Rightfully has a poor reputation as on it's night there can be trouble, however it is not too bad a pub. Has two ale pumps, usually has one real cider and one ale on these pumps, however the ale is rarely actually available. Usually end up settling for a Guinness if I go here which is always a well poured pint. Don't avoid, but I wouldn't recommend this pub if you only head to one of the three pubs in Tadley, the New Inn is much better. Also, ignore the food signs, there is none.

I visited this pub on a Friday lunchtime as I was visiting the area. I did my research and their website – hosted by John Barras Pubs –and it had a cheap and varied menu.

However despite the website and food promotion posters – there was no food. We don’t do it and haven’t for ‘ for several weeks’ When I pointed out the promotions and the web site they said ‘oh that’s head office’s job.’
They struggled so much with the Doombar then said ‘End of the barrel’ although I heard them say to each other ‘ its just been put on’. So I don’t know what's happening there.

So I gave up and , God forbid, had a cold lager. All in all a wasted experience. Probably only suited for playing pool and watching sport.

I was in here last Saturday lunchtime (20/3) and found a reasonably decent pub. (Bus driver told me the Falcon is still closed so no choice realy)
There were three pumps serving real ale:- Theakstones Best, Youngs Special
and Ringwoods 49er (one of my favorites)
Food is reasonly priced and looked ok although I didn't try any myself.

WHILST I APPRECIATE THIS PUP HAD A BAD REP YEARS AGO I CAN ASSURE YOU THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE!! WE HAD A MEAL THERE AND NOT ONLY WAS GREAT BUT IT WAS AT A GREAT PRICE (SADLY NOT SEEN UNLESS YOU ARE IN WEATHERSPOONS WHICH IS CHEAP AND NASTY!!) WE HAD SOME LOVELY BEERS AND WINES AND THEY ALSO WERE AT A GREAT CHEAP PRICE. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS PUB VERY HIGHLY AS WE MET THE MANAGER AND HE WAS FANTASTIC WITH A GREAT KNOWLEDGE OF THE BEERS AND FOOD HE SELLS. ALOT HAS CHANGED SINCE THOSE DARK DAYS SO PLEASE VISIT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.
