Easily the best Wetherspoons in Cardiff.Very pleasant and efficient staff and a high level of comfort.Real ales well kept.Try Wednesday when all ales are £1.69 apint and there is usually an intersesting and well kept selection.

Had Rhymney Export and Dark on(both excellent) along with 2 from Bullmastiff,Caledonian Lager,Robinsons Olympic Gold,Coach House Inkeepers and the normal other welsh Spoons standards(SA,Best,Evan Evans). After the disappointment of the Mochen Du and the Cayo this was a welcome surprise and definitely top of the 3 visited that day. The manager and staff were friendly and the aircon worked. Enough said.

Only a few minutes walk from the Prince of Wales, a giant Wetherspoons pub, you have the Gatekeeper, a giant Wetherspoons pub. As I have said elsewhere, the Cardiff Wetherspoons do seem to be better than the national average. As such, this place is quite acceptable, and usually serves pretty well kept beer. But having said that, there are far more interesting pubs than this to visit in the city centre.
