Hmmm.. Its a weatherspoons pub, functional but no atmosphere.. Beer ok, service ok but too many machines and just a big open room... Everything that you expect from Weatherspoons but nothing more..so cant complain just not my cup of tea puddacat - 18 May 2012 17:38
Does not feel like a pub but a bit large room, it can lead to a feeling of being watched. Fruit Machines take up the middle of the room. Average Wetherspoons but a reasonable place and 4 real ales on including beers from the Loddon Brewery. NoDisgrace - 17 Jul 2011 11:56
Typical Weatherspoons pub. Large selection of drinks, several TV screens, lots of offers and decent food. Large open pub which is quite popular buzzbee - 8 Jul 2011 12:28

I can't say I thought too much of Maidenhead's pubs on my Sunday afternoon visit. This was my third (the first two - the North Star and the Craufurd Arms) are not listed on here. This one was a typical Wetherspoons establishment. It had a slightly better selection of beers than the Windsor one I had visited on Saturday. But sadly the interior of this one was the bog standard open-plan and featureless kind. A small fenced off yard at the rear looked equally dull. The beer range was Daleside Old Lubrication, Loddon Forbury Lion, Fullers Summer Ale, Richard Chennells Zulu Ale, Greene King Abbot Ale and Ruddles Best. However there was no real cider, apart from bottles. Westons Marcle Hill and Biddendens Bushells pumpclips were both on display. But neither was available. On the plus side, the guy that served me was cheerful and fairly knowledgeable about his drinks range (something I don't always find in Wetherspoons). blue_scrumpy - 25 Jul 2010 19:29
