| Quite a long wetherspoons with family area at rear. Only a couple of guest ales were on offer but the pint of Peerless"Full Whack" @ 6% couldnt be faulted especially @ £2.10pint! 7/10 fat_beer_badger - 14 Oct 2010 17:51 |
| Been in a couple of times recently to use my CAMRA vouchers. Like every other Wetherspoons absolutely soulless atmosphere but beer quality has improved since last time I drank there: Jennings Cocker Hoop and Greene King Abbot Ale both well kept and only £1.49. m_j_t - 8 Dec 2009 21:45 |
| Typical McSpoons... had a decent pint the other day, but expensive (for Spoons) at £1.99! Also tasted another beer, which had 'just come on' that tasted of water. The manager pulled it through some more but did not withdraw it from sale. Nice to see the 'coming soon' and 'sorry not available' signs in use, though! f1_mw - 22 Dec 2008 22:40 |
| Recently received some Camra recognition for it's offering of ales, which to be fair it does have a fairly decent selection most of the time. Being a Wetherspoon pub it's what is to be expected, far better during the daytime before the riff-raff come out but by no means as bad as the other 'spoons' you could visit.
