| Went for lunch.We were early & I think only 2 tables had ordered food before us.We waited.........No food came out of the kitchen.We asked what was happening after 30mins & our scampi &chips arrived 40 mins after we ordered it.Not impressed really.the food was ok but nothing special.It was at least cheap. | This pub has improved massively since the no smoking law came in. Yes, it is a bit of a locals pub - nothing wrong with that, it's my local! - but the locals don't bite (unless asked) and the bar staff are fine. The food is alright, not a gastropub by any means, but keeps the wolves from the door. I've had many a fun evening in here.. and they do a meat raffle every week!!
