Like travelling back in time to 1977. Not necessarily a bad thing but...the outer bar smells of cheese, the beer is uninsipired and, as noted below, the Landlord is a complete tool.

I have visited this pub and have left disappointed. The Landlord could do with a spell at a charm school, he's got to be one of the rudest people I have ever come across. The beer is overpriced and not great quality. Worst of all the place could do with a steam clean, it is dirty. Will I return? Never!

I agree with the anonymous review posted last Guy Fawkes night- Colin is most definitely NOT a nice man, he doesn't like anyone who threatens him (especially if they are brainy or good looking). If you are new to the area, IGNORE this pub- keep straight on for about half a mile until you reach Horseshoe Bend, where a warm welcome awaits you at The Brewers Arms instead!!

I visited this pub along with friends on a Saturday afternoon and was made very welcome by Colin and his friends. It was quiet so I had a chance to look around the pub. I had been before, and although female, looked forward to another visit to this wacky pub. Colin put one of his records on in the lounge and we had a friendly chat about his beer that we were enjoying. I would visit again when in the area.

This would be a lovely pub- BUT for the present Licensee. The building commands superb views over the countryside towards the Clee Hills; it also has a skittle alley, a lounge room with books & an electric organ, and a terraced beer garden. Live music is to be had there several nights a week.
Unfortunately, I refuse to go there again until landlord Colin either keels over dead or retires. A more irascible, grumpy, taciturn individual I have yet to encounter- he is also prone to sudden & violent outbursts of fierce temper, I have seen him roaring and swearing ferociously at customers and jabbing his finger under their noses. I used to think he was a 'rough diamond with a heart of gold', but am now terminally disillusioned.
The bar is a shrine to sex- obscene postcards all over the wall, blow-up dolls hanging from the ceiling and rubber penises on the shelf above the bar will not endear female customers to the place.
No amount of live bands and fine views are worth the threatening atmosphere currently prevalent - you are much better off going to The Brewer's Arms up the road.
