Visited during a Thursday afternoon so not too busy. Range of ales is disappointing compared to the other Wetherspoons' Dundee establishment -the Counting House in Reform Street.

In complete contrast to the Counting House, the Capitol is bright and airy and you get a "lift" merely by walking into the place. THe CH is depressing.

Sampled the best rump steak I think I have ever had in a Wetherspoons' pub.

A lot better air con in this 2 level pub than the non existant in the other Spoons The Counting House.Sadly all 3 handpumps had the "coming soon" label showing so I opted for a guinness.Cheap though with carlsberg @ £1.69 and Deuchars(when on) for just £1.35 a pint! 6.5/10

Very spacious, nice food, efficient staff, good pricing structure. Don't really have anything bad to say about it except that it perhaps attracts some of the shellsuit-wearing, buggy-pushing brigade at times.

This Lloyd's is a pub that has a habit of attracting Dundee's louts when they want to come out to play of an evening, particularly on weekends. Drink and food-wise, its great value for money with good staff. Its at its best during off-peak times of the day.

Loads of space, great for a social night out. The drink isn't badly priced and they can do some pretty impressive offers. The staff are rather strict however and at least the ones I was served by seemed to want rid of us (I was part of a group of late teens/early 20s).
