Perfectly reasonable Covent Garden pub, less crowded than most. Three real ales, including a reasonable pint of The Rev. James (a rare excursion for Brains in London?).

I used to go here a few years back when there was an eccentric landlord who was keen on slapping (female) customers on the behind. There used to be lots of women in there but when I visited recently it was full of theatrical men and a bit off-putting.

Nice little spot to go for a drink, even better if you a seat outside. Nothing about it makes it stand out but equally nothing to put you off from visiting.

Had great weather for early April and sat outside with a pint of Guinness to watch the world go by. Great stop for a walk from the Museum to Trafalgar. Very interesting area. Nice atmosphere inside, but barmaid was a little "distant" and even in an empty bar I had to call her over for service at the bar. Nice spot, I'd give it a second go for sure.

Good pint of Charles Wells Bombardier and it was even possible to find a seat late on a Saturday night even though it was busy. Has a pleasant atmosphere and wouldn't hesitate to return.
