| cool vibe. went to a magazine launch thing a couple of weeks ago. it was £3 on the door but you got a load of free stuff from the magazine people. great atmosphere and great music. ginners - 18 Jun 2009 12:55 |
| a lot nicer since it was refurbished. I've been there a couple of times at night and during the day. They've got some really good things going on in between the general Camden stuff. During the day it was nice and relaxed and has good food. :) jwg - 18 Jun 2009 11:42 |
| I came here after the My Bloody Valentine gig at The Roundhouse and they had the most ridiculous indie disco I have ever seen. And I've seen 100s. The DJ actually threw some hula hoops into the dance floor at one stage of the evening. On the plus side, no pretensions, everyone was friendly and the beer was reasonably priced. | major refurb, less of a boozer now, no handpumps, no real ale. andyross - 6 Apr 2009 11:29 |
| yeah, that must be an old photo. I went there to Amy Winehouse DJ a few months ago and had a great time. I keep popping back to see if she's going to be playing again, but they seem to be redecorating it at the moment. The manager told me they will be doing more big gigs when they reopen properly. Not sure if it was worth the entry fee at the time, but when I've been back since they haven't charged entry on a normal weekend night. Ooh, and I got my photo on their website with Amy, which is cool. http://www.monarchbar.com debbiefanning - 10 Feb 2009 18:23 |
