Visited the pub lunchtime, 3 adults 2 children. Waited ages to place order, waiter seemed to be serving his friends first leaving the you girl to cope alone. After waiting over 30 mins to get meal they brought ice cream 1st. Eventually brought children's meals, wrong food brought. We went back to place order for sweets, but queue was so long we gave up. Surprised at appalling service as there are so many efficient pubs in the vicinity.

I would stronly recomment that YOU DO NOT visit this pub, my starter of prawn cocktail didnot come with the lemon stated, we ordered our main course, myself 8oz steak (medium to well done), my partner ordered fish with a side order of eggs, our course came with the eggs on top of my steak, when i quiered this the waiter said to transfer them onto the other plate, when i refussed to do this and asked for a new serving he agreed, i then asked if my partners meal could go back aswell as his food would go cold as we wanted to eat together, he said yes they would keep it warm for him, dont forget that he ordered fish, within 4 minutes my steak arrived back at the table with the fish, the waiter nearly dropped the plate onto my lap, luckly i caught the edge of the plate, finally we had been served, lol, not quite there yet, i cut into my steak for it to run blood all over my plate, so much for medium to well done, ok my patience was wearing thin by now, so i just got on with eating my food, after our meal my partner went to the bar to buy a pint of lager and a j2o orange, he decided to go out side for a fag and i went to the toilets, when i arrived back to the table i found that the waiter had taken our full drinks away, also as we got home my partner was up all night being sick and from the other end aswell, i feel that this was due to the fish being kept warm.

Spelling and grammer as dreadful as the pub itself. Maybe an course in English wouldn't gp a miss.

The Staff at the moorings work hard all year round to try make every guest feel welcome and have a great meal, in Jan and fed all pubs in the area have to cut hours dew to the lack of custom but on the odd occation, myview we can not prodict that we are going to get rammed and we cannot expect staff not to make arrangments on there days off or to drop everything just to come in and work if we get busy if the plate were strewn all over the place complan to the peope that leave the pub in the state they do it during peek times we carnt always make sure every plate is collected straight away.

The new Manager looks after all the staff and puts us all through any training that she can to keep us all at our peek.
if you have the guts to put comments on this web site maybe you should speek to some of the staff in the pub who will help you out of just ask for the manager if your unhappy

from all the Bar Staff and Kitchen staff of The Moorings

The place was filthy - there was not one unoccupied table that wasn't strewn with dirty plates. A disgrace - still no staff - were in fact told that the area manager had cut down on staff - manager are you listening ???
