A bit too right on for its own good. But nice ales and a friendly welcome. Don't know what my problem is really, other than a general sense of unease at the self satisfaction oozing out of every pore of staff and punters alike,

I see that it's been over 4 years since I'd last been here. It's appeared on the front cover of the Good Beer Guide since I was last here! So we finished our evening tour of Clapham & Battersea here yesterday. The Eagle is pretty much unchanged from what I remember. It's a cosy backstreet local that can get busy at times. But the ale selection has diminished since my last visit, with only 5 on during this visit - Surrey Hills Greensand IPA & Shere Drop, Trumans Attaboy, Brodies Bethnal Green Bitter & Downton Four Corners. There were 3 or 4 vacant handpulls. That surprised me considering how busy it was. Ciders are still keg or bottle only. I may have over-rated this pub last time I was here. It's good. But London has so many better pubs.

What a find. Absolutely superb. Excellent range of real ales, not the boring main stream but a milk stout, Greensand IPA, Hackney Golden and others. Friendly atmosphere, a real community pub.

really nothing to choose between this and the crooked billet.

Even the prices are the same.

Youngs Special comes without a head.

Friendly enough pub, busy with mainly locals and their dogs and in some cases offspring - this is a well heeled area and the prices are corresponding. It's a Youngs pub and I had Youngs Ordinary which was ok, and sausage and mash which was very pleasant.

Friendly, helpful service, good beer and a decent location. Seemingly more down to earth than it's neighbour a few doors up.

I went to this pub last night, me and my party arrived and sat down. We was waiting for everyone to get in before get drinks (two were outside smoking). We were chilling out, enjoying the music, then suddenly the landlord comes up and says "you need to buy a drink or get out". I was shocked, we had been in there not 5 minutes.

I understand he expects people to buy drinks, it is a pub after all. But, we had literally just arrived and was nearly immediately asked to buy drinks. So, we got a few drinks, but one of my friends wasn't drinking; she wasn't feeling too good. He comes over and tells her to 'buy a drink or fuck off'. I said to him "hey mate, she's not feeling too good" and he replies to me "get out, fuck off".

I feel this is because we weren't locals, it looks like a local pub. But, that's no excuse for the landlord to be a complete bastard.

This pub is a dive but does have great music. I went twice a week to see bands but never again. I had just finished my first pint when the landlord came over and aggressively said 'buy a drink this is a pub' I indignantly replied alright mate when he then threateningly said (close to my face) "get out my pub fuck off '. I have never been spoken to like that before so I was happy to leave. His loss four of us used to go there regularly and spent money.

Good music, reasonable as a pub - London Pride and Doom Bar plus Wimbledon Common Pale Ale. Mostly a music venue I suppose and the more important now the Grey Horse and the Peel are gone.

Popped in after football at around 10.15pm on a Saturday evening and the pub was heaving.

Several bar staff on so getting served wasn’t a problem.

I’ve always liked the Falcon since it’s been taken over by Nicholson’s as the beer choice is large and varied and on this visit it was no different.

We stayed for a couple of beers, first up was a pint of Drygate’s Gladeye IPA on cask followed by a bottle of Siren’s Undercurrent.

Another good visit to this near excellent pub.

Tried it on a Sunday evening. Handsome old pub with lots of pumps which looked promising, but many of them were sadly unavailable. Bar staff were a bit below average too.

Very handy for the station, but that's about it.

As has been said a v. long bar with plenty of hand pumps, half to two-thirds in use when I called in. Very nice pint of Loch Lomond brewery Silkie Stout. I thought £4.15 was a bit steep though - but that was before I went in The Junction!

Only one of the Wimbledon 8 with a cask marque sign. Not sure why - off the five pumps, three were turned around leaving the uninspiring doom bar and speckled hen

Sports-oriented but that may just have been the Rugby World Cup drawing to a close . On Ridgway on the 200 bus route as it rises out of Wimbledon towards Raynes Park. Can't remember what beer I had here as I was watching out for the time of the next 200 (every 15 minutes), but it was palatable whatever it was.

Up on Ridgeway - decent enough pub. Friendly service and good range of beer. Sit outside, watch the world go by, have some Nobby's nuts and be thankful.

Mine's a Yakima Red.

Can't match the review below. Superb!

Sixth and last of the Wimbledon 8. That stat tells its own tale.

I quite like this place - big, airy, full of paraphernalia , great location and beer as indifferent as the other six pubs.

Nice building and interior, great location, overpriced (4.20) and indifferent pint of Special; clientele a noisy bunch of pampered, gilded upper middle-class arseholes. Never again.

It's a long while since I've been served such short measures without the barman automatically offering to top them up. 3 pints of Ordinary, one must have been an inch short of the brim and the other two about 1/2 & 3/4 inch short. People in the area probably so well off they don't care.
Sunday roasts looked good but expensive.
