Great pub, with bags of atmosphere. The Quiz Night on a Weds is always well attended by local teams and a great laugh.

Quite liked this pub although I think sitting outside on a warm Summers evening probably helped to form that opinion. Situated at the foot of the Great Orme tram terminus & slightly out of the town centre it seems that this is a meeting place before people move on elsewhere. Didn't spend too much time inside but it was traditional dark wood with split levels & an open fire. GK IPA, Abbot & 2 guests from Mordue & Adnams. Large beer garden/car park its worth the walk out of town.

On our golfing tour we visited the Kings Head. Good pub, only two ales though, which was disappointing. The barstaff spent a lot of time chatting to each other and we had to call them a couple of times but inspite of that a very friendly well oiled landlady was very hospitable. Lovely interior, real traditional feel to the place.

I enjoy a meal in the London quite often and the music has always been the same - it was Petula Clark this lunchtime when I was there. Can't say it would ever cross my mind to complain about it, it's a pub, not a restaurant and you have to expect anything from classical to heavy metal, depending on the sort of pub it is!

Btw, the London is in Llandudno, which is in Wales, so can we ditch the references to Englishness please!

Can't say that I warmed to this place. It seems to have an identity problem as its a cross between a cafe/real ale pub/nightclub. Bouncers on the door are never a good sign. Once inside it is long & narrow. 6 handpumps but nothing imaginative & disappointingly no local ales. Very expensive - a pint of Burton Bitter & a small glass of rose was £6.17. Its funny how these pretentious places think its acceptable to charge over the top. No problems with the staff like previous posters, but then again I wasn't willing to stick around long enough.

I implore you to ignore the 'review' by 'HappyWolf'. They are obviously a friend or collegue of the venue, determined to try and make me out to be a liar to cover their backsides. They are making stuff up, and omitting other things.

Brains SA and Bass available. The SA was OK. Sat indoors as plastic glasses were required for outside.

Watch out for the under sizes plastic glasses, if you order a pint you only get 50cl well under the pint you pay for

went in 2 week ago only for the 2nd time in the last 26 years.it was quite warm so was able to sit outside and being in the harbour was great and unlike my last time was quite busy being late afternoon. this time was drinking draught bass which was a good pint and only 2-75 a pint. after a hour went back in the pub and only notice how dark it was in the pub. quite small inside. good pub and would go again if in conw,

what a pub, i stayed for a week last month ,we were made to feel so welcome by the owners mick and joann even the locals had time to chat to us the rooms are huge the breakfast is fantastic and so filling you dont have to eat for the rest of the day.we tried all the pubs in town some were nice but others were so bad i woulnt recomend them to the taliban. the only dissapoiting thing was no ashtrays as an avid smoker i was dissapointed not to see them after reading reviews that said they came out. a deffinate jewel in the crown for Llandudno

I came to llandudno 3 mths ago, stumbled across this irish bar n i aint left yet, what a fantastic time, heard the stories n its come out of its shell, if u want a quality time, a hell of a laugh n a room to stay the night (en-suite and beautiful) then pay this establishment a visit, an excellent and cheerful landlord who will make u feel more than welcome, defo wil be visitin this place for a very long time as long as the landlord remains,

And another thing, these parasites put up the price of drinks after 8.00pm on a Friday evening.
The price of drinks is already daylight robbery so to do this is akin to rubbing salt in the wound.
The huge flat screen monitor as you go in the pub, advertising so called specials, local events and local firms - ruins the ambiance of what could be a nice pub - real fire and in a lovely location.

Nice location, real fire but a rip off !
The landlord is a miserable git who doesn't care about customer service because he makes enough without worrying about repeat business.
It is the only pub for miles and this is clearly reflected in the attitude of the staff.
I was asked by one staff member if my meal was OK, I commented that a few extra chips would be nice and she returned a few minutes later saying that any more would cost extra.
My girlfriend's meal was more like starter to be quite honest.
Tip - use the bus or train to get down to Waunfawr and go in the Snowdonia Parc Brew Pub where the food and beer (real cask ales too) is about 60% of the price of the Cwellyn Arms, the staff are human and they can get you a taxi back to Rhyd Ddu for a tenner !
4 of us visited the Snowdonia Parc Pub twice and on both occasions the beer and food was excellent and reasonably priced and the staff were more than helpful.

Called in for a drink while driving home. A pint of soda water and lime cost £2.90. The expensive beer and lager is one thing, but that is daylight robbery.

A hot sunny day good seating outside front and back, got to the bar, no welcome greeting the bar maid looked misserable and was also rude, but when my partner (male im female) went to the bar she actually managed to crack a smile, the lager was flat the locals a group of older generation men were, to put it politely pervs plus the toilets were a mess. Glad to say we wont be returning!

A pretty decent pub in the centre of town. Real ale (Jennings Cumberland Ale when we visited) plus the usual. Pleasant staff, good location.

Good pub serving 4 ales and decent dry white wine (according to the missus). Had pint of Cockerhoop and another Jennings beer. Very nice. Outside seating with sun (assuming it's sunny) all day.
