This pub has just reopened under new management. I was walking past the other day and noticed a sign for a quiz on Wednesday night. I am a fan so decided to try it out with my girlfriend. A lot of fun. Being new, it could use a few more teams, but the atmosphere was very laid back, and the quizmaster was loud and funny. The drinks were reasonably priced for the area and served with a smile by the new proprietor, Steve. A good addition to the area.

Obviously I meant 250ml wine. Feel a bit nervous as previous people seem to get shouted at for posting after 1am. Alas I drive and live far away!!

Quite appalling place. Looks lovely, exquisite decor, but the mix of incompetance and arrogance of everyone working there kind of ruins it! Do they know its illegal to only serve 205ml wine, and downright bad manners to to abuse a girl over saying so??

well when they say never judge a book by its cover they werent far wrong with this place. once inside you can see why its regarded the best sports pub in fulham with 10 tvs crisp clean larger and from what i hear the guinness is pretty special. if you enjoy your sport and a friendly atmosphere then this is the place for you.

Visited twice in mid Dec 2009. Post game for Chelsea (3 blocks away) was crazy but better than the Slug, Brogans and So Bar right near the grounds. Visited again a few nights later with no game... great night with friendly staff and cold beer where we struck up some nice conversation watching football. Recommended definitely and particularly if you want to watch sports (lots of big screens).

Good choice of drinks if you like lager, but as a bitter man the only option is speckled hen, which is disappointing (esp at £3.50 a pint).
Went there for a beer at about 1pm on Saturday. Chelsea were at home.
They had the Liverpool game on (there are screens everywhere) and the place was packed - uncomfortably so, so be warned. On the other hand, if the weather is ok there is a great garden. They were doing a pig roast that looked tempting. So a good pub, recommended.

This isn't a pub, it's a restaurant. I visited on a Saturday evening but found that every table was set for food service, other than a sofa in the corner and some stools at the bar, which are presumably intended as places where people can await their table. There were a couple of real ales on but I sampled neither, as I decided not to stop and to go instead to a real pub. It's a good thing to have real ales on in a restaurant, but there's no point pretending this is a pub unless one can go in and grab a table without reserving and without having to eat.

I have lived around the corner from The Harwood for 5 years and have always loved it there.... until now. The food is excellent yes but now the staff are incredibly stuck up whereas before it used to be warm and friendly and I would quite happily go in on my own and have a glass of wine. I raved about the bar to friends and we went in last night and the staff were so so so rude, they all stared instead of coming over to ask what we wanted. The barman "tutted" when we didn't know straight away which wine we wanted even though there was no list on the bar and he hadn't offered us one. I travel extensively for work and I am also a mystery shopper in my spare time for fun and never have I been in a bar/restaurant with such awful staff. What a pity.

Sad to say, I have to agree MRW. We were really looking forward to trying it out after reading all about it. But the service was terrible, the table setting ridiculous (our chair's were consistently being jostled by a big group of people who were evidently friends with the owner, and when we mentioned it to the waiter he said that "they were VIPs and more important than you"). Our bill came to £80, so thought it was a pretty bad attitude.
The food was good, but this place needs to figure out whether it's restaurant or a pub. Because it's charging restaurant prices and expecting you to put up with rude pub service. We were wholly unimpressed, requested a refund of our service charge and left.

An ok pub but when I went there on Sat there was a very drunk guy throwing up all the way down the stairs and a group of people throwing pepper and then beer over each other. Not the greatest of pubs and not very impressed.

Anyone who gives a good review to this place must be paid by the mangement. Awful food, beer that tastes like the pipes haven't been cleaned for years and when i went there a fight broke out. BAD BAD BAD do not go to this bar people!!!

A nice enough venue but unrealistic pricing and small portions prevents it from being a good pub. Disproportionally expensive carbonated beverages must also be highlighted.

Expensive meals, small portions, sometimes with very long waiting times.

Over £4 for a large coke...not good.
8 Jan 2010 14:34
Four pounds and twelve pence for a pint of Coke. This is an outrage!

It's a fabulously furnished and stylish venue. Open till half two and free entry before midnight. The barman is a handsome young chap is just like Tom Cruise in Cocktail. A fiver after 12. Grab yourself a flyer for discounted entry.

I've just re-read my review below and I can only conclude I must have been on something, because not only was I far too generous, I completely failed to describe just how woeful this place is. It's an absolute shithole!
6 Aug 2009 15:34
This bar/club is absolutely appalling. Cheap drink promotions are about all Chateau 6 has to offer, so you can just imagine the type of crowd that it attracts! Avoid at any cost unless you enjoy having drinks spilt over you by pissed up students with big egos!
