From the outside it looks nice but inside is a different matter. It's a bit run down and sorry looking. But at least there are plenty of seats and the barman is friendly. Only one real ale on when I visited (Harvey's Best Bitter zzz) which was disappointing. I guess it is a fine place to wait for a train but that's about it!

Bbecause of the bizarre name and the word 'restaurant' on the front of the building i was intially expecting a poncy gastro pub. However, upon entering I was greeted with a traditional bar area with a seperate restaurant area to the rear, which i can deal with. The landlady was more than welcoming and although the ales provided were basic (Harvey's Best and London Pride) the Harvey's was nice enough. However, the highlight of my time in this pub was my visit to the toilets, a woderfully traditional urinal which certainly upped this pub's rating by a mark

stopped off for a pint, saw people arguing at the bar, and a chef at the bar, cleary with nothing to do. if you have time to lean you have time to clean mister!. only food in the evenings, and menu looked outdated and boring. if i wanted re-heated meat id go to a brewers fayre!. certainly aviod if you dont want to be ripped off. only upside is ive heard the live music is good. definatly a drinkers pub.

A pleasant place to have a pint, 2 ales on tap, friendly enough staff and toilets that are surprisingly like a Victorian railway station. Good music venue too.

Visited for a quick pint yesterday. Friendly enough (didn't notice any drunken builders). I quite liked the fact that they were no children. Reasonable prices and would return.

It's still full of drunken builders but the atmosphere is good with the music, not overly busy but friendly bar staff and service make it a 7/10.

Billed on BITE as Battles worst pub, to my mind this place came in at Battles number two pub, if only for the Bowling Green next door, the choice of pub games, friendly bar staff and the wonderful Victorian toilets.

The Senlac is a friendly Pub in Battle near the station. In fact, being the nearest to the station it's very handy as you can time your drinks perfectly with the time of your train. They make the best gin and tonic I have ever tasted and the food's good too.The best thing though is that they have live music every friday night.Good on yer!

An evening out with friends. we visited this place, staff very friendly, food looked good, plentiful & reasonably priced. Certainly do not agree with previous comments. But there again it was our first time. No smaoking at lunchtime.

We went in here and left after one drink, not very nice.

Went yesterday, bloody dreadful. Its grubby, tacky and smelly with mediocre to poor plastic food.

found this pub on leaving the station and will be visiting it again.
the beer (bombardier) was perfect and the welcome was first class,(the landlady having a joke with you was a nice change).
there is also a thai restaurant in which i had a lovely meal.
a 5 star pub which i will visiting again & again on my visits to battle.

Not quite your typical station pub, but not far off it. Sells Bombardier, normally a reliable beer, although not here. There are better pubs along the High Street.
