great place to drown your sorrows of the england world cup disaster as coors on draft or magners with ice flows constantly for great prices

special drinks offers all the time... great place to start or finish what ever you feel like

freindly bar staff who are happy to help

pop in and try for yourself

possibly the quietest put i've ever seen, at any time of the week. it should give up the ghost and become student flats, as everywhere in liverpool seems to be doing at the moment.

The Varsity is a great student hangout! Its laid back, friendly atmosphere makes it a great place to start your night. Especially good on Wednesday nights - loads of drinks for a quid, it's a little way out of town, but well worth a visit!

Average student pub in the middle of student land. Not a lot wrong with it, but fairly bland and sterile.

Standard choice of lagers and not spectacularly cheap either. Probably appeals to the people who can't be bothered walking down the hill to get to a better pub.
