please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Has been a building site for a while, was going to be reopened by something called Bluezone Connections but their website is now empty.

kingston_toon....rubbish! I'm one of your housmates, and I've been trying to drag you in there for months!

Well, we finally made it for a swift one on Wednesday, and it wasn't bad. The ales were off, so had a reasonably priced Magners. The staff were friendly, and the table of locals didn't seem to mind us singing along to the music TV on the big screen.

I'd go in again, and bearing in mind the low standard of pubs near here (ie crap or none) then this place should really be busier than it is.

LittleNicky makes a good point, although I think they are a bit too far from the main Korean population in New Malden to be successful. I've noticed there have been more changes recently - the size of the bar has been cut yet again (approximately by half) with some new walls springing up. I presume the restaurant has expanded then? I'd go in more regularly but despite living with 3 pub-loving people less than 2 mins walk, my housemates avoid it like the plague!

This pub has been changed so many times in the last few years. They're now trying to cater for the HUGE Korean population in the New Malden area - fair enough.

However, if you like beer, then, as with most of the pubs in New Malden, give it a miss!

Following on from my previous comments, the Willow Tree has been in "refurb mode" for around 6 months now and to be honest I don't think it will last much longer. It's a nice enough bar and the new owners will bend over backwards to accommodate, but there just never seems to be anyone in drinking! The back room is now a Korean restaurant (I don't know whether this is more popular) but unless they do something soon I can't see the pub surviving. They have recently re-installed the pool table which you're almost always guaranteed to get a game on, since the place is usually dead. Bonus points for the free peanuts when you buy a beer!

This pub reopened a few weeks ago after a pretty major refurbishment and is now under new management. Looks much better than it used to and seems to be attracting a slightly friendlier crowd than before. They have a few new plasma TVs dotted about, ideal for sport.

Rough and ready is it. But there is real ale - IPA, Abbot - and it isn't unfriendly.

This was the pub that was the hungry horse-painted pink and yellow, with a cartoon horses head on the sign-it was the most shocking thing ive ever seen on the bus home from school-does anyone else remeber this???

Bit of "spit and sawdust" establishment but there are a lot better pubs within spitting distance.

absolutely shocking compared to how it used to be. the only pub i've ever seen that has been *un*furbished rather than refurbished.
