not the best pub in witham would only give it 3out of 10 food only just eatable not bad if had bad day in the cityand need one on way home

Visited Sunday lunchtime, reasonable roast eaten.
Sadly no bitter available, reading previous comments here, this was probably just as well.

The beer was off, full of loudmouth idiots, and the barstaff were not that much better. Beware of being short changed as well. Awful place, and definately not one to recommended

Infested with chavs is about right. Service is ok, but language from the punters is often unbelievably bad. I'm no vicar, but I'm uncomfortable with the shouting and swearing in there. Manager/Staff should have a word and put an end to it. Certainly not a family atmosphere, just a place to have a drink while waiting for a train.

Horrible beer. Probably bearable for a lager drinker but if you like proper beer avoid it like the plague.

Sour beer, infested with chavs & their offspring, truly awful.

Food and service are really good. not had a bad meal,you are always made welcome.
