I attended OHM now called Pure on New Years Eve 2010. It was a reasonably good night although the music wasn't the greatest!! At the beginning of the night I left my coat in the cloak room for a cost of one pound. To be honest this should be included in the price of the pre-paid entry tickets at a cost of ten pounds each.

At the end of the night, I went to the cloak room to hand over my ticket for my coat, only to find two girls running around trying to find the coats of two other customers. One jacket was found. The other girl standing wasn't very impressed. The cloak room attendant responsed with "Its not our fault, it doesn't help you all having a go!!" Not really something you need to hear when you have been standing for around ten minutes, waiting. The other customer asked for the manager and the response to this was " He can't do anything". The other customer asked again and the manager was finally contacted.

During this time I had given my ticket to one of the cloak room attendants for my coat and they couldn't find my coat either. I asked if I could come around and have a look as I could easily identify my own coat. I was told that I couldn't do this because of health and safety reasons. The manager then dealt with my ticket, he however couldn't find my coat either. I was asked the colour of the coat several times, this being black. I was made to feel as if it was my fault for having a black coat. Funny, I have never had this problem with any other cloak room at any other clubs. The manager then asked if he could take my details and reassured me that it would be found. However it was absolutely freezing outside and I had a long journey home. I asked again to find my own coat. The manager did permit this and I managed to find my coat within a few minutes. It was hanging by itself at the back of the cloak room!!!

The attitude of all members of staff was very unprofessional.

I do not recommend Pure!!!!

Just to let you all know..we raised about 1000 for Claire's Race for life..She's running it soon...
Thanks to all the lovely OHM bar customers who donated their change at Bank holiday Weekend xx
rossicarrot - 15 Apr 2008 20:48
OH and by the way, what i really came on this site for was to say "Wicked Easter guys!"
Enjoyed the Bank Holiday Sunday, good on Claire for running 'Race for Life' Good luck with that.

OH Joanne Frost, you odd girl. You visit the bar in February and state "I wouldn't recommend this place... ...I won't be going back to OHM again."
And then lo and behold you visit it again in March with the same scathing report.
Or were you just banging on about it again because no one responded the first time?
I don't know what you are on about anyway, we think its great there. Maybe the 'long Queue and one in one out' might indicate to you just how popular the venue is!
I think you need to move on and let it go, after all, this is only a fun website. Ranting over and over again will not make everyone think it's true!
buttplugsteve - 29 Mar 2008 12:03
Was unfortunate enough to visit this place recently. Took ages queuing to get in bouncers only letting 1 in at a time when it was half-full inside. DJ was a joke, seemed to be playing his party CD and pretending to mix as didn't see him change records when the music did!! There are better places to go in Bexleyheath, don't bother wasting your money here!

I recently went to OHM with some friends to celebrate my 30th Birthday. We had been for a lovely meal and fancied a bit of a dance after. Got there just afetr 10pm to find there was a queue and it was one in one out. A lot of my friends were already in there so it was frustrating having to wait outside in a queue while girls with skirts up their bums pushed ahead of us (and were let in by the bouncers). Eventually we got in, but after realised that 2 of our friends who were just behind us in the queue had not as they had no ID. Bearing in mind one is aged 30 and one is nearly 32 (they are a couple - so didn't look like trouble makers) and certainly do not look under 21, I thought this was ridiculous. It ruined my birthday night as I felt guilty knowing they had to go home while the rest of us had got in, but by this time it was too late to go anywhere else. At the age of 30 or older you don't always feel the need to carry ID, especially if you don't look particulary young. As for inside, the music was a bit dodgy - they could do with getting a new DJ. He would play a couple of decent dance tunes, then jungle music - some of which was totally out of date and then on to R&B - it was a complete jumble! It was packed in there, the toliets were a state and the people in there were all just up themselves and pretensious, thinking they are far better than they are - and rude too. I got pushed into on a number of occassions. I wouldn't recommend this place - if you want some good music on a sat night, Affinity is far better. I won't be going back to OHM again.
Joannefrost - 27 Feb 2008 13:02
Toga party, BRILLIANT. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT THEME NIGHT.
anonymous - 27 Aug 2007 19:45
Its my number 1 in the area!!!

i think its great on a Friday or Saturday!

The manager Sue is fantastic she really gets involved with the regulars...

there is hardly any trouble there and if there is the door are really quick to sort it out and properly!!

and this place is brilliant in the summer with the out door bar and seating!!

good night out!

anonymous - 12 Apr 2007 11:39
Yes we do have a cloakroom...its 1...We also have 2:4:1 on cocktails and 2 drink deals 'til 10pm
Hope to see you
Sue xx

I'm looking to go to OHM on sat night for my birthday.Does anyone know if there is a clock room there. x x x x x x
krissy83 - 22 Nov 2006 19:07
I have to say I completely disagree. I went to both OHM and Affinity on Saturday night and Affinity was much better. Ohm was about a third fulll if that and the music was pants. Affinity was busy with great music. Absolutely no contest!!!!
anonymous - 17 Oct 2006 17:22
yes a much improving bar ..... i agree with bexleybabe. good music on all the nights, especially saturdays party music. good for hen nights. nice to see the bar doing well again. it has always been a favorite with me and my friends. keep up the good work.
anonymous - 13 Oct 2006 18:52
OMG....whats happened to saterday nights?? It's so empty.

Free entry though....cant argue with that ;)

Plus some very very gorgeous women behind the bar *hubba hubba*

Will be back this weekend!!!
AlcoholicPenguin - 20 Sep 2006 13:15
A much improving bar, nice barmen and bargirls, really friendly. Went here on Friday a couple on months ago and was really reluctant to return on Friday but to my suprise i had a great night.
Not packed and dangerous like Affinty and not full of losers (old men) and crap music like Zerobar on Friday.
bexleybabe - 1 Sep 2006 11:20
Funny somebody uping Ohm at 12.39 and then making excuses for Zerobar Dj at 12.37 - Could the management be at work again! Your Friday nights a crap at both venues - sort your Djs out may be a start.
anonymous - 1 Jul 2006 12:27
Well done OHM! I was in there on Sunday night and it is nice to see the place packed out like it used to be! I am an OHM faithful and have been for three years but I must admit it had emptied out a bit recently but no more, lets hope that it keeps on going this way, UP!
anonymous - 28 Jun 2006 12:39
good to see you are back on form again suze. youve been there forever and it wouldnt be the same without yer baby! the boys are sending you good luck and best wishes. (bmd)
anonymous - 24 Jun 2006 17:11
Thanks for the comments..I look forward to this Beerintheevening forum returning to genuine comments again..will still strive to improve and maintain high standards at OHM and give the customers an entertaining evening!! I hope to see some old faces and hopefully new ones soon x x sue
rossicarrot - 16 Jun 2006 12:23
Looks like a war just exploded on a forum? but the fact is ohm is the best bar in bexleyheath, true it has gone downhill but measures have been put in place to bring it back up, for instance the later openng times, cocktails and more recently free entry before 10 and special drinks deals. In ohm you are served with a smile and the barstaff are always happy to talk and can hold an intelligent conversation which is rare for a barperson in bexelyheath, even though its currently hit a bad patch i'm sure it will pick up once people realise what they are missing.peaceout!!
anonymous - 14 Jun 2006 00:06
Well defended Sue - but I your job to ensure your bar is busy and the fact is you are losing out to all your local competition. Till you find a way to regain the lost ground Ohm can only go one way and thats down. Its a shame since it not a bad venue.
anonymous - 13 Jun 2006 08:31
My how some people take life so seriously! as you will see, i don't need to post a comment anonymously..yes the 'advert' as you put it is free . .but what harm does it do to let people know what i am doing at the bar.. (and at least i put my name on it).. as for 'digging out affinity'. . there seems enough people on this website already doing that to both your bar and mine, so i hardly think i need to add to this childish banter!
I check out this site because it's of interest to me to see what people think of OHM, some good, some bad. If you think it's 'sad' for a bar manager to take an interest in what her customers think, then there's really not much i can say to that, is there. Thats your opinion...luckily not mine.
I thank you for your opinion that 'OHM is rubbish'..not the most constructive comment but 4/10 for effort! ..let me leave you with one thought though...If you ever come into my bar, i will give you a smile, probably have a chat and make you feel welcome...I'm not convinced however, that if i walked into your bar, i would be shown the same courtesy..Sue
rossicarrot - 7 Jun 2006 23:43
How sad is this - a bar manager who reads the comments on this website and then uses it as a free advert - Face it! Ohm is rubbish and you as the manager are responsible for that fact. Also digging out Affinty anoymously does you no favours. For somewhere that only opens three nights you are pretty clueless.
anonymous - 7 Jun 2006 20:40
Hello Beer in the evening readers..OHM has some new deals and promotions. "2 for 1" on all cocktails, Beers and spirits with mixers 2 til 10pm" Also its now FREE Entry B4 10pm. The disco light system has been updated and the garden bar has music as well, so you don't miss out on the party. Come down and see for yourself. sue
rossicarrot - 2 Jun 2006 08:43
Been found out - when there on Friday seen more people at Wimpy. As nice venue but with nothing to offer the punter! Music system sound crap! Need a serious dose of new ideas !!!!
anonymous - 1 Jun 2006 13:42
I have been here a few times on a saturday and have to say I have not enjoyed myself. Some of the girls are definately all wannabes, its hilarious. I agree with the previous comment there is definately way too much fake tan going on in that place! Also nobody seems to be enjoying themself just trying to pose in a Pris Hilton look a like style! There are definately other bars in the area more worthy of a visit!
anonymous - 17 May 2006 16:23
Being a old girl, I travelled my haunts of young, last Saturday and the old Frontier Post may have been rough but at least it had character and atomsphere.
Full of wannabees - with false tans and with cars they don't own (Hope you can afford the Balloon payment at the end). Very disapponting as this type a venue is all Bexleyheath seems to offer now. (As I felt the same about Affinity & The Dryman with I visited this evening)
anonymous - 17 May 2006 14:22
Really don't see what the hype is about.... full of chavs and ex-cons, felt as tho you looked at someone the wrong way and you'd be "sorted" in the worst possible way... full of plastic gangsters and wannabe page 3 girls glowing with fake tan.
anonymous - 17 May 2006 12:57
Dear A . . . thanks...i'm back ...hope things will get back to normal now. I know OHM is still the best place...always working on improving things. New Cocktail menu, Drink deals and FREE entry for the lovely ladies. Hope to see you and all my old regulars back soom. Sue x x x
rossicarrot - 13 May 2006 09:27
my angel what is going on? i love it there. where have you gone sue? hardly see you anymore? new staff?

anonymous - 12 May 2006 17:43
Just back from my Holidays, just to say Zfactor Brillant
anonymous - 2 May 2006 17:12
I admit it, I'm one of the Drayman defectors. BIG MISTAKE. I have spent the last few weeks there and it was new and exciting at first. It has now become dull and repetative. I said in the Drayman review it has something missing, its heart and soul. A good bar is about people and not just posh chrome and leather. Something that Ohm has plenty of is heart and soul, and you can't buy that.
anonymous - 11 Mar 2006 14:49
Saturday - 70 & 80's Night - good mixture of tunes from soul to cheese (Bros - whats that about) - Not enough bodies, but we had a good time - great effort by the staff dressing up. Apparently when it's held at Zero Bar its the nuts! Ohm getting better all the time !
anonymous - 6 Mar 2006 18:45
went last night for the first time since they got license till 1am. nice to see that the place is still packed after 12. was a good night.
anonymous - 5 Mar 2006 20:47
hey everyone i though i would tell you about my night in ohm bar on friday night. it was surprisingly good considering i was in bexleyheath. haha. the music was mixed and funky and not a heavy house tune in sight. the music was disco and we were all having a damn good dance. good on a works leaving do. made it a nigth to remember. thanks to suzy the manager who reserved us a place by the dj. thanks to the waiter guy who kept us supplied with drinks. and also the doormen, one who even had a boogie with the boss. fun people.
anonymous - 4 Mar 2006 17:24
Yes I agree, the waiter is something else. Totally mad!!! Great sense of humour!!! Very efficient and really nice to mums!!!!
anonymous - 11 Jan 2006 23:09
i love it, that waiter sure is something else, what a man!! i love ross, i do. go there baby, chris clarke? legand mate, legand.
keithypie - 10 Jan 2006 23:50
Wicked Night on Christmas Eve. So much so, we decided to do New Year there as well. For anyone who parties, I recommend this bar. Its kinda a club and bar with pub prices. Club atmosphere and no attitudes apart from friendly ones from the staff. Good doormen, friendly but a wee bit scary too. Good combo! Happy new year ............... J & the crew.
anonymous - 1 Jan 2006 18:40
this is a great place and now open to 1am!!!!
paulee - 18 Dec 2005 20:51
OPEN 'TIL 1AM . . . . OPEN 'TIL 1AM . . . AT LAST!!!!
anonymous - 10 Dec 2005 02:19
OH MY GOD! Just had the best night ever tonight. Tried the over 30's night more like over 25's but still fantastic. Good mix of ages from 25 - 50. Good crowd, DJ brilliant, Tell your friends.
anonymous - 9 Dec 2005 01:00
a great bar with friendly service and always full of fun. defantly worth checking out if your in the area, if you dont get a warm welcome and a good night, you hve probably walked in to the wrong bar. (AARON)
anonymous - 7 Dec 2005 14:06
OHM Bar now has a 1am licence - at last!!! the bar is the best in the area and now it's one of the latest. They have their Christmas Eve and New Years Eve tickets on sale and they will be sold out fast. Don't miss out on the best party ever.
anonymous - 30 Nov 2005 21:12
Over 30's night is good. They have a good DJ playing better music than the tollgate or beaverwood. The promotor is a dancing queen, always getting people up and dancing. Beer and alco pops are cheap aswell, only 1.50 each so thats a bonus. We had a fun and cheap night out and the people there were really friendly and up for a giggle.
anonymous - 27 Oct 2005 16:58
Ohm Bar School disco was good, pity more customers did not dress up though. . .Great night and all the staff were really fun. Looking forward to the halloween party. Apparently the staff like dressing up! That works for us!
anonymous - 18 Oct 2005 01:06
OHM is brilliant. Despite all challenges, it always comes out on top. Its kept it's high standards and has good old fashioned friendly service. The party is definitely still at OHM. Moving onwards and upwards.
anonymous - 5 Oct 2005 19:36
hello ttmoe, i was also in there thursday night...ok i'm a lot older than you prob are but i think it's still ok. the new bouncers were alright. i think sometimes people don't like change. we had a good night, music was good and me and the other half were dancing the night away as usual down the back. ohm is still my favorite place to go in Bexley Heath
anonymous - 26 Sep 2005 01:07
a sad day for ohm bar, most of the bouncers who have been their for years have been taken off the door.(politics that all im saying)
went in thursday night and thought i was at a local football match, no personality, no smiles, the new lot need to lighten up quickly, were not all out to make trouble
ttmoe - 23 Sep 2005 08:35
OHM is the best all round bar in Bexleyheath. It caters for all ages and there is no attitude or agro. It is a great place for a party. By the way, i checked out the doorman Mike and i don't think he's a minger, but the best doorman is Adam. Keep the place how it is, whatever you are all doing, it's good! Oh and Sue is cool.
anonymous - 18 Sep 2005 11:31
Excellent bar and function room. Had party up there at the weekend and it was brilliant. Staff were lovely. Manager was helpful and made organising a 30th birthday stress free for us. Love the staff uniforms!!!!! will see you again
anonymous - 6 Sep 2005 11:50
Really good bar - age between 21 and 30 so nice atmosphere for groups on a party. Staff friendly, manager helpful. music excellent and varied. doormen nice with no attitudes. not to be missed!!!!
anonymous - 1 Sep 2005 16:05
Quality bar or should I say used to be until the bouncers started letting pikies in ie 30 year old men who think its funny to go around glassing men in the face for no reason!!!!!!!!!!! the bouncers are tossers as well!
nataliecarlsen - 28 Apr 2005 16:33
I would have to say that this is the best bar in bexleyheath although recently its got a little young on a friday and saturday. Sundays is by far the best night to go. Not too dressy but girls you can pull out all the stops if you want and the blokes tend to make a real effort too which is nice. Well done OHM - you have managed to keep the Lloyd chavs out and the classy people in.
anonymous - 3 Mar 2005 14:08
Quality bar best in bexleyheath easy.banging tunes top dj lovely staff dont know what that other birds on about mike(barman) absoloutely stunning we all would.ohm,we love it.
amys_girls - 23 Feb 2005 16:52
OHM is the best bar to go to in Bexleyheath forget Yates, Lloyds and the Rat. Tunes are banging
K-ci - 1 Sep 2004 16:34
This bar is wicked on a Thursday and Sunday nights its all Hip-Hop and R'n'B. The DJs are wicked the atmosphere is brilliant!!!!!!
Bubbles - 1 Sep 2004 16:32
Quality Bar. Easily the best in the area. Musics heavy, bouncer Mike is gorgeous (Pity about them employing sleazy Mike from behind the bar at Lloyds). Would definately recommend it as the place to go in bexleyheath.
Kate - 26 Aug 2004 10:48
Good bar with a very sexy bouncer!!!
Kelly - 16 Aug 2004 15:13
