Twyford is a well heeled place and this pub/restaurant reflects that. Pleasant staff that are busier with diners than drinkers. 3 real ales available, London Pride & 2 from Twyford's very own Brewery, Bingham's, they were in reasonable nick.

More of a restaurant than a pub. But a nice little place nonetheless. We originally planned to visit here on August Bank Holiday evening, but found it had closed at 3pm for the day. This is definitely more in keeping with restaurant hours than pub hours. The bar area can be used for a drink. Beyond this, there is a cosy restaurant and to to the right, there is an antiques shop! There are many items hanging from the walls and ceilings, which borders on clutter in some areas. The food was good and 3 real ales were on - Fullers London Pride and Brickworks Bitter & Twyford Tipple. Worth having a beerintheevening here, but probably best accompanied by a meal.

Very nice little pub. Friendly, efficient staff and fantastic food and wine. Appropriate for anyone of any age really.

Also nice atmosphere for a relaxing drink in the evening. Will definately make a return visit with family and friends

Feels more like a restaurant than a pub to me. Usually has a couple of ales on (Brakspear and Pride) which tend to be on the better side of OK most times. Will occasionally put a third ale of Rebellion on if the local CAMRA branch turn up for a meeting.

Has a big outside garden and a large frieze of Audrey Hepburn near the bogs. Clientle are usually middle-aged and middle class foodies in the evenings, with some office workers during the weekday.

Tends to be devoid of atmosphere outside the evening foodie brigade, so I wouldn't really bother too much about going there just for a drink. I struggle to get particularly excited about it myself, but it's probably worth taking your girlfriend/parents to for an evening. For a proper drink, you'd be better off heading into Twyford to the Duke or the Waggon.

This is a very nice little pub, about half a mile from the centre of Twyford - a pleasant walk. It does a variety of beers and wines and the prices are reasonable.

It is particularly good for food with a thoughtful menu. My girlfriend and I went there for lunch last week and were really impressed.

A major draw of this pub is the pretty beer garden that has ducks and geese wandering around. I can see that this would be very popular with kids. At the end of the garden is an enclusure with more animals in, mostly chickens, I think.

The downsides - if you go at lunch times during the week, you'll find that the offices opposite descend upon the pub and so you'll have to learn to ignore inane office banter and overly loud mobile conversations. An annoyance, rather than a problem. Also, there are no televisions for sport (that's bad in my estimation, myabe not so for others).

Overall though, definitley worth a visit.

Lovely atmosphere but spoilt by staff who take an order in their head at the table then forget it and enter the wrong item in the ordering computer! However, my husband's food was delicious

Live music last Sunday evening of each month. Recent new proprieters (mid 2004), good slightly upmarket atmosphere. Food.

Well lit pub. Changed hands in November and the new owners seem to have done a good job of making it a welcoming pub with a big beer garden. Bar staff friendly and the beer is good. Well worth the short walk out of Twyford.
