This pub is more of an eatery than an ale house. The decor is new and very nice.
It's a Free House with 4 real ales which were drinkable but far from perfect.

The food wasn't brilliant either, an allegedly spicy bean burger which wasn't spicy at all with under-cooked chips, my lasagne was excellent but the garlic bread was hardly toasted and the tomato with the side salad was green. Doesn't seem worth it when there's a Wetherspoons a few minutes walk away.

A little more attention to detail would make this a good pub.

Has been refurbished yet again since we last called in, thats twice in the last couple of years. Now has a more open feel about it even though the layout hasnt changed. Its effectively one big room with a small raised seating area to the left as you enter and another larger area which is full of dining tables and chairs straight ahead. To the right is another large seating area with some high stools and tables and the bar. The bar has been open up as well and the glass racks above it have gone. There are 4 handpumps with a pretty mainstream selection of Pedigree, Black Sheep bitter and something so uninteresting that I cant remember what it was, plus St Austell Tribute. I had a pint of the Tribute which was pretty good and the other half assures me that the red wine was good as well. Its getting back to where it was a few years ago, definitely on the up.

Was closed, some dodgy owners done a bunk and waiting for a new company to run it

Pretty good pub, especially if you have visitors that might not like the pokey little places (My personal favourite!) One of the only places to get decent food in Tod 7 days per week. Good choice of beers, OK wine selection as well.

Yes - not bad at all. You get a decent pint in a decent atmosphere. There's a hotel attached I think.

Pub opposite Todmorden Railway Station, good selection of Real Ales and the food is good value.
Check out the Gothic Bar

Directly opposite Tod railway station - the hotel was built around 1840. It looks rather handsome from the outside. A bit bland on the inside though. If you like bitters there is a very good range (inc some unusual ones). I'm a Black Sheep fan so I'm alright! A bizarrely extensive range of crisps. The food is usually very good - not exactly a radical choice but tasty and decent sized portions. I'd call it rather a "respectable pub" but I'm getting older and I don't really mind that now. I have taken my mother along there - so says something. Not full of old people though - mixed. Friendly place - and popular most of the time.
