Best pub for Sky Sports in T.Wells. Lager only though.

Bigger on the inside, not a bad spot, but clearly more the lager than ale drinker. Drop in for the time it takes to down one and have a lot round. Two levels quite pleasant. Staff friendly not bad, not great

Doesn't look much from the outside but is rather nicely laid out inside. Guinness is good but they don't take credit cards which is a bit of a pain, friendly staff, not sure what makes it Irish but I suppose every pub needs a USP these days and it's certainly unique in The Wells.

nice pub for large groups, like the layout.

Lots of posts on this site about it being a good place to go for sport. So I gave it a try. Never again! England playing on a Weds afternoon, important qualifier as well. Q,How many staff would you put on for a pub with about 150/200 people in it? A, Two! 20 minutes to get a drink from a barman who was moving up and down the bar moaning about how busy they were, and, Quote "what are all these people doing in here? Doesn't anyone work in this town?" So sorry for interupting your afternoon, but don't worry I won't do it again!

good: they show sport, which is like rocking horse do-dah for a pub in tunbridge wells.

bad: the beer tastes funny.

conclusion: a mixed bag, really.

very good pub
one of my favourites in tunbridge wells
polite and friendly staff, fantastic duke box, good pub for matches.
very strict on manners, no swearing is tolerated during matches or idiotic behaviour.
it's a great place to start the night off in

A decent pub if you want to watch televised sport.A nice pint of Guiness.Bar staff are pleasant and manager made a point of saying hello and joining in conversation

The drugged up idiots who go there during chelsea/man utd/liverpool games are very annoying. i doubt they've never been to a football match in their lives.

Not a bad place to have a couple of beers. Has a good big screen to watch the footy and seems to be able to keep most of the tw*ts out. Which is difficult in Twells.

Avoid this fake Irish boozer like the plague! The only thing "Irish" about this place is the name. Let's face it, the owner probably isn't eligible for the Republic of Ireland football team and everyone knows that's like an England B team! What's more, the bar staff are rude and the beer is poorly maintained.

Not a bad place to have a few pints on a saturday night as most of the idiots are up the top of the town

Very hit and miss. Only ever seems to be busy when football is on. Probably the best place to watch football in TW, mind. A good pub but too empty at times.

friendly staff and they now do food, which is freshly prepared and not bad to boot. A great big dark wooden-ey pub.

Went in here the other Saturday evening. Hadn't been in for about two years and was pleasantly surprised. Great to escape from all the hussle and bustle of the loud pubs in town full of schoolkids.

Me and my friends had a scream, the staff were friendly and there was a generasl good crowd!

Better when it was Buffalo Bill's and the carpet was moist with Stella.

About as Irish as Haggis.

great place, a bit to empty sometimes and they dont let you in to watch england matches unless u have a ticket, which isnt too good as there are 20 other local pubs that welcome you in for free.

it's quite pricey, but the staff are a good crack and the beer is always cold, and although they don't do food, if you buy a sandwich from the little cafe over the road, which is very nice, they don't have a problem with you eating it the pub. all in all a nice place. and the upstairs looking over the ground floor adds character

this is by far one of the better pub's in town, the only draw back is the irish theme with Guiness being its only irish drink. i love this place, the staff, the landlord, the clientel the atmosphere- fantastic
