I'm sure I paid knocking on for 4 quid for a pint of Carlsberg in here last night. I was so hammered though that it didn't seem that bad at the time

I liked it here, full of men with nordic beards, good quality drinks, worth visiting

One for a saturday this one. The place is infested with suits on a weekday and men trying to score with Scandinavian women.
Some imagination has gone into the place - some good cocktails (especially the berry ones), friendly bar staff and the approximate feel of a country cabin in Lapland.
So - as bars in this most diabolical of areas go, this is superior.

No self-respecting Scandinavian goes to this place more than once. Chock a block with dudes hoping to score with a Nordic lovely. Lykke til gutter!

Interesting pub, a good selection of Nordic beers, a cranberry one whose name escapes me was especially refreshing and strong (which must be why the name escapes me).

Phone in advance if you intending to go, maybe shut for a private party.

the word sweetshop springs to mind some nights in this place.

The Noridic manages to pull off a bloody rare feat – an establishment that combines a “theme” with a “bar” environment and yet doesn’t make you want to coat the place in puke. This commendable achievement stems from the fact that the more aggravating elements of these two constituent parts are to a certain extent neutered.
In most cases “theme”, for example, tends to be a byword for prominent and superficial tackiness that manifests itself in crass décor (oh look were a themed beach pub cos we ave a bit of sand on the floor and cockles hanging from the bar) and a drink menu containing standard cocktails with their names changed. Refreshingly though the Nordic avoids these flaws: its interior is nicely understated with a pervading rustic feeling that creates a pleasantly smooth ambience (chic furnishings, old wooden tables and wonderfully low blue lighting). The drink menu also contains not a single crassly disguised drink, but instead is full of lots of artic circle booze that you probably wont find in many places else in the UK.
The Nordic though is slightly less successful at pulling itself away from its bar roots. It starts off well by having a small and almost hidden entrance that helps it avoid attracting any thick and yobbie clientele. But its prices are very high and most annoyingly it posses a typical glistening bar that seems a tad out of place in its more understated surroundings. The staff are also the bog standard bar types – i.e. “serve the large chested blondes first and hey look I`m juggling a few shakers” - which to be quite frank gets on my tits a little.
The Nordic therefore has a lot going for it in atmosphere and is probably one of the best bars of this type in London. But it still has one foot firmly in the overpriced wanky land of London bars and therefore it gets a good , but not brilliant, 7/10.

Really lovely place for a drink on a Friday after work. Bar staff are friendly and the daytime lighting at the back makes you think it's about 7 o clock when in fact it's last orders. Try the Artic Bramble cocktail. Yum.

Went there on Monday for half price wine. We were having a great time until some bloke nicked my friends bag. Noticed another pub on Newman St had same this month, so be very careful and keep you bag near you at all times.

The Nordic Bar does exactly what is says on the tin - beautiful nordic women, great bar staff and of course that wonderful Swedish cider - Kopparbergs... yummy yummy.....

Went there last night for the Sweden Denmark game and had the best night I have had for ages. Everyone in the place were lovely and alot of them were gorgeous. The bar staff were friendly (some were also stunning)and the Red Erik beer, though expensive was very tasty and extremely alcoholic (6.5%)Decor is shabby chic and the lighting is unusual.Well worth a visit!

Somewhat in the middle of nowhere on a quiet road off of Oxford St is the below street level Nordic. Pretty dark and pokey immediately inside, it's a bit nicer towards the nicely lit bar, but it is narrow. Music's loud enough to necessitate shouting over, and you'll more often than not have to stand all night. It's got a Scandinavian theme and the toilets make you feel as if you're in a Norwegian travel brochure. Presumably the barstaff near the Arctic circle are attractive yet surly like this place, and they too hand you your change on a small circular plate. Fine if you like that sort of thing.
