Is closed at the momment, renamed "the Room" briefly, but not closed full time, probably to re-open after christmas as a new bar

Being run down at the moment, supposed to be re-opening as Coyote Bar or sommat, won't matter, The whole Micklegate scene is pretty much dead now anyway.

Not really my sort of place, although I have spent a pleasurable evening here in the past. Is one of those very loud, brand name drink serving places. Is great if you are in a group, looking for somewhere to drink cheap and dance, but if you are looking for a nice drink not really for you. I haven't been in during the day so am not too familiar with the food or day time atmosphere.

over half a million pound refit in 2003, 2 pool tables, nice meals during the day, dj playing at night. 2 daft beds inside to sit on. drinks are cheap,rating 6/10

This is vile, unless you are on a Stags or Hens Do and at the end of the night. Ok for football but still you have to be drunk and they have gone for something original too - they have put a bed in the BEDROOM. Try the Mickelgate pub next door.

I believe from one other comment that this pub may be listed as Scruffy Murphy's but am unsure as this was my first visit to York.
Simply brilliant - cheap drinks, lively dj's decent tunes and stunning women. A great way to start your Saturday night - although the pub did tend to fizzle out about 10ish.
