user reviews of the Norton Dog, Norton

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Called recently for a meal. Found a table, was told it was reserved but no sign saying so due, apparently, to customers stealing them. Shabby menu cards, items shown overpriced. Won't call again.

i've been to the norton dog twice this week as i couldn't believe how much it has changed i thought i would give it another go as it had gone down hill alot over the last few month's and was told it was under new management again so thought to myself why not when i arrived the fire was roaring away and the heating was on it was lovely and cozy the staff was wonderful and very friendly my two young children are very fussy eater's and didn't want nothing from the menu so the chef made them something special the food we had was great lovely and hot there was a great selection on the menu they even have a special's board including more veggie option's where as there wasn't before i couldn't believe all the different dessert's they had too i think all you people out there need to go and give them another look to see for yourself's that it has changed for the better.

Sorry it's just another Greene King food dispensing machine - little in the way of atmosphere but lots in the way of expensive food - nine quid for a basic burger?

And I trust some of the staff claimed their richly-deserved rebate from the charm school.

This pub is one of the best in the county I reckon. The food is always good, plentiful and reasonably priced!

I went to the dog during the summer and had a lovely meal, the service was particularly good especially a young curly haired waitress.

The Norton Dog is one of the best pubs in the area. The food is excellent, the service is brilliant, and the general atmosphere is always friendly. The owners have definately turned this pub around form its original form through extreme refurbishments that have changed this small village pub for the better. Keep it up!!!
