Closed. Now a burger restaurant - no booze.

Lovely little place on High St Ken. Staff are pleasant and welcoming. Bottled Asahi available, and the sheer amount of dark Rums make this a place i shall be returning to. Good place for a cheeky couple before RAH.

Charge way too much for very average cocktails and the staff are rude too boot. Don't waste you money in the pretencious place.

The prices were a bit over-the-top, but the atmosphere and bartenders helped to make me forget about that. Two of the women bartenders in the main area (not the basement) were two of the friendliest people I've ever met. The downstairs area was also pretty cool, especially when there was a live band playing.

Over prced and over rated.....this really isn't a pub to rave about.

Awesome place. I took a date out here and she was blown away! The restaurant adds the atmosphere of the bar to what would otherwise be a pretty formal meal (ie the food is classy!). Then we hit the bar, where the staff managed to pull of the rare trick of being extremely chatty and inclusive while remebering to serve drinks non-stop. The dancing downstairs ensured she was mine for the evening. Top marks!

This bar will set a trend others in the area will have to follow. I've been to Dusk, Lab, B@1, loads of cocktail bars, but this is the best, hands down, enough said.....

The last guy is right, this place has only been open since november and you HAVE to go. The food is out of this world, you can either have a conventional 3 course meal or you can have a plate little tasters from the menu, perfect for those among us who always wish they'd ordered what everyone else did!

Then there is the cocktail menu, ones with black pepper and fresh basil, delicious. or your more classic ones, made to perfection by a very hunky barman!

I think some of these reviews are old because the Archangel I visited just opened in November of 2006... That said, our experience at Arcangel blew us away!! This chef is heading towards a Michellin star! The bar always seem busy with the "stylish" crowd and the club downstairs is a welcome addition to Kensington! Finally a Kensignton nightclub for someone over 25 years old!!!!!

Good if you like this sort of thing. The cocktails are very, very decent and they do a Happy Hour on them, too. As one of Kensington's few late night venues (3 am I think currently) it definetely has its uses and it's probably the least pretentious at that game as well. Still, best advice is to come early when there's no cover charge, take in some jugs of 2-for-1 cocktails, and then elope elsewhere for further fun...

After our christmas party, we were looking for a late night (3am) bar to further the festivities and what a pleasure this bar was. Cuban dancing downstairs and a boisterous bar area on the top floor. Ask for a Mojito when at the bar...and hold on to your trousers 'cause it may just knock 'em off.
