Has closed some time back now and is soon to be demolished. There is still the golf course though.

I think that you will find that this place has closed

Why is this listed twice?

sunday luch was brilliant, food was excellent although the dinning room was rather empty and im personal..they need some pictures on the walls or plants. but that aside i was incredably impressed with how they have turned the place around..it was rubbish. i now highly recommend it!

Moore Place is under new management and is now called 'Esteem'. The bar is open and we will be opening a Cocktail Bar & Italian Restuarant shortly.

Ate their once. Will never eat there again. Ordered lamb, am still waiting for the vegetables. The bar is good if you want to look 'trendy'. This is not necessarily a thing to want to do.

so awful, it was funny. well, spending 25 per head wasn't amusing, but the restaurant service reminded me of fawlty towers. we booked a table for 14, when we arrived, they only had one paper menu available, etc. food was mediocre at best, ketchup was served in a reused brown sauce plastic bottle, wine was no longer chilled by the time it arrived at the table.

highly recommended if you're planning to dump your date, otherwise, wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

I think people are being a little mean-spirited about this place.

Yes, the colour scheme somehow makes it a little cold character-wise, and the toilets (particularly the stairs leading down to them) have that lack-of-care look that makes you think the money ran out before they could be done. But it's not the worst place to have a drink.

Huge potential incompetent management. Lovely building and features. restaurant is very good freindly and helpful. Menu is good so we visited a few times this year. Place is dirty, carpets threadbare. management ignorant and unhelpful. My wife went to the bar to order a drink during a quiet afternoon she stood 5 mins before any help offered while doing so she lent against the bar and green gunk oozing out form the dirty bar coavered her white shirt. She showed this to staff who were completely unhelpful and made no attempt to appologise. 10 minutes later we spoke to an arrogant manager who once again without apologising said not to worrry it would wash out and walked off. So did we never to return. Its a pity for the excellent restaurant staff to be led by people who have bought it using daddy's money and couldn't care less about their customers

It should be called chav place not moore place. It is quite simply awfull. It is kind of like a chav mosque where instead of praying 5 times a day chavs and chavettes are called to worship for 2 evenings on friday and saturday nights. It is a shame because the bar had potential and initially tried to go up market. But a poor door policy by the dreadfull bouncers/security excluded and put off the decent clientele. Only go if you need a late night drink but beware of the rockweiler at the door.

yes the outside colour is bad but it could be worse. i have not yet sampled the food, but the restaurant has lovely character. staff friendly and helpful

Parking and great garden (if sunny) were the good points (+golf looks good). We gave up on inedible microwaved/fryer meals. Bldng is nice inside but unbelievable ugly colour outside. scruffy bar and service poor. Sat evening was a VERY rough crowd so we walked 200yds and found Albert pub - v crowded but a million times better, food looked amazing, but not cheap.

Best thing about this place is the absolutely massive beer garden. The whole place could do with a good clean.

Well i went there with my family for dinner and a drink afterand thought it was lovely!
friendly staff and atmosphere!
There is no pleasing some people if your a bit on the stuck up side you might not enjoy it but if your laid back and want a relaxing evening there was nothing wrong with it!

Expensive drinks. Back to the deep fry everything type of cooking. Dreadful experience never again. Esher high Street leaps ahead.

I saw this place on Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. It seemed to turn itself around. So, as it is not to far away, decided to pop in with the in-laws for a snack. We just missed the bar menu, but felt glad. The tables, although trendy, looked liked they hadn't been wiped in weeks. Ashtrays were overflowing, and the CD kept sticking. 5 a glass of wine. As the TV programme had suggested that the bar side of the business was the owners real strength, I would never consider going back and risking the restaurant side. And, yes, the lurid purple paint is terrible.

As seen on TV ! I'd still go to any of the other restaurants in Esher who offer better food at a better price.

Moore place is the hit on fridays and saturday nights... nothing like it round esher... great staff, great people, good music (especially the live singers @ the weekend)... all in all, a place to try
r - 14 May 2004 19:19
Good DJ, excellent live singer. Drinks not too expensive.

Great, the other comments are from boring sods. Got a 1am license and good live music. Drinks not too expensice and staff very friendly. Good golf course and a lovely restaurant. Wicked fun in both the day and the evenings.

looks good inside and out, atmosphere can be good with the right company, but this is also rare...serve kronenbourg white which is a hit with the men but VERY expensive and a little dull. go there if u enjoy being bored and smalltalk.

Upmarket pub-come-restaurant. Popular with the Surrey set which is a good reason to keep away. Redeeming feature in the attached golf course and its ok for post golf beer.
Food is average and expensive. Service can be slow. Parking is ok, just thread yourself round all the X5s and Range Rovers.
