More of a cocktail bar these days although it does Guinness and lager in pints.

Enjoyable visit, small so hard to get a seat, but friendly service and some music off an ipod added a smile

Small but comfortable boozer. No ales available or so it seemed.
Friendly bar staff and a buzzing atmosphere on a saturday.
There was gurning elderly man in a wooly hat which gives this pub bonus points in my book.

Once again, interesting music being played.

Proper ol' fashioned locals' pub in otherwise increasingly chintzy Portobello Road. Flowers bitter 2.50 a pint.

Been done up but it's still a pub, by crikey. Weather-beaten locals stand at the bar or slur at each other (and others) at the tables.

Has an ok selection of beer but it really wins on atmosphere, it's a proper London boozer.

Must really confuse the tourists.

The perfect antidote for a hard afternoons shopping in this most bohemian of London markets. You can tell it's a good pub because it has it's own cache of locals who frequent it despite the tourists. Hard to put your finger on why but it's simply a delightful pub.
Good for: recuperation
